Dear Major Waring,
In continuation of my letter of the
28th of June, Colonel Amery molts me to any that he
has now unde inquiries with regard to the deati: of Ur.
Norman Johnston of the Hong Kong Police and that the
Decretary of State ha calling upon the Governor of the
Colony to furnish a report on the circumstances of
his death and to consider whether the circumstances
are such as to warrant a (pent to the deconsed
official's mother, If lir. Churchill desires it,
we will send a letter to Mr. Hohnston diroet, as soon
no we hear from the Governor,
